Volunteer Contract
Pitty Rescue, Inc offers this volunteer program for any individuals who wish to learn more about natural and holistic pet care and behavior. You agree to the following terms relating to volunteering at Pitty Rescue, Inc. Although you are volunteering, you are expected to conduct yourself professionally and treat clients, employees, other volunteers and all animals humanely and with respect. Failure to do so will result in the revocation of your privilege of volunteering. Although you are a volunteer, Pitty Rescue will be open to offering a reference to future employers of your time here.
You acknowledge the following:

You acknowledge the following:
- You are volunteering at Pitty Rescue at your own risk
- Working with animals carries with it certain inherent risks and you understand the risks associated with it.
- You do not hold Pitty Rescue, Inc, Paradise Pet, Inc, Jeffrey H Coltenback, Diana Coltenback or any of their partners, affiliates, professional or other associations responsible for any injury, personal or otherwise, sustained while volunteering at any of the following premises; 44 West Passaic Ave, 48 West Passaic Ave or 15 Byrd Place – all of which are located in Bloomfield, NJ 07003; or any off-site events held, sponsored or supported by the above parties.
- You will not pursue litigation for any reason against Pitty Rescue, Inc, Jeffrey H Coltenback, Diana Coltenback or any of their partners, affiliates, professional or other associations
- You understand that you may come in contact with, provide care for and even handle animals including, but not limited to, dogs – specifically pit bull type dogs, cats, parrots, rodents, bugs, reptiles, etc; and you do so at your own risk
- You are volunteering because of your passion to learn more about animals, natural pet care and behavior.
- You understand it is your responsibility to report any gratuities you may receive here, regardless of who offered the gratuity, to the appropriate revenue agencies. Pitty Rescue, Pitty Rescue or any of their officers, employees, affiliates, partners, etc is not responsible for reporting any monies/other material goods you receive in any form from anyone.
- Pitty Rescue is an equal opportunity organization and also practices this law with volunteers it allows to participate in its volunteer program.
- Pitty Rescue, Inc is a drug free work environment.
- Pitty Rescue reserves the right to terminate your volunteer status at any time, for any reason or no reason at all.
